So You Want to Sail?
Student Voyages
Leave all your preconceived notions of summer camp behind. The ultimate adventure awaits teens this summer on three outrageous opportunities to sail aboard the Spirit of South Carolina. A true cultural exchange will take students from Bermuda and the U.S. on a journey with the entire majestic fleet of Tall Ships from Bermuda to Charleston as part of the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge 2009 series. The next voyage takes students from Charleston to the historic port of Mystic, Connecticut. Finally a third group of students will have the incredible opportunity to cruise aboard the Spirit of South Carolina, exploring the coast of Maine. Participants must be between the ages of 15-18 years of age or qualify for an age waiver. Age waivers are available for rising 9th graders and recent high school graduates. Adult Voyages
A limited number of the Tall Ships coming to Charleston will offer sailing opportunities for those 18 years and older. Each ship has its own program onboard and there is no previous sailing experience required. The capable captain and crew of each ship will ensure that safety procedures are understood and assess your desire to be as active and involved as you wish in the sailing onboard. Each ship has its own personality, in both the design of the ship and bunk arrangements, to the captain, crew and other guests onboard. Whether you see this as a great personal adventure, an adventurous couple’s get-a-way, or a family affair, it is sure to be the opportunity of a lifetime.

EUROPA
A beautiful barque with home port of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and sparred length of 185 feet. Offering sailing berths from Charleston to Boston. Berths are divided into two two-person cabins, five four-person cabins, and four six-person cabins.
