  • 5:30pm: Spirit of South Carolina, Schooner Virginia, and Corwith Cramer depart docks to greet the Freedom Schooner Amistad near Sullivan’s Island and bring her into port.
  • 6:30-7:30pm: parade of sail with best spectator locations to be announced  
  • 7:30pm: Estimated time of docking at the Charleston Maritime Center


Friday, May 16

  • 10:00am – 5:00pm: Festival Officially Open to the public Maritime Center, Liberty Square, Ansonborough Field and Patriots Point (boarding passes required to board tall ships and shuttle buses)
  • 9:30 – 4:00pm:Water Shuttle (Spirit Line Cruises) between Patriots Point and Aquarium Wharf(discount offered to boarding pass holders)
  • 9:00 – 6:30pm: Bus shuttles between Patriots Point and Charleston Maritime Center (free to boarding pass holders)
  • 10:00 - 6:30pm: Charleston Water Taxi between the Maritime Center and Patriots Point (discount offered to boarding pass holders)

Please note: Charleston Harbor Fest offers free general admission to the festival grounds and docks. However, boarding passes are required to get onboard the visiting ships and to access the bus shuttles. The Water Shuttle between Patriots Pont and the Aquarium Wharf locations is operated by SpiritLine Cruises and fees at $4 per trip and $3 per trip for boarding pass holders.  Teh Charlesto Water Taxi is offering discounts as well: $1 off each way or round trip.  Boarding passes may be purchased online or onsite at the ticket counters of the event. The USS Yorktown requires a separate fee and discounts are offered to boarding pass holders (see the ticketing menu of this website).
